|Dr. Andrew Edwards, associate professor of social work, conducts applied research related to program development and measuring satisfaction of clients that are served by faith-based social service organizations. Dr. Edwards, for the last two years, has been conducting values clarification workshops for pregnant teenage girls that are enrolled at an alternative school in Cleveland.
He is currently teaching in the undergraduate program. He teaches courses related to the Human Behavior & Social Environment sequence as well as the Interventions (social work practice) sequence. He also has a professional interest in family dynamics, ethnic studies, and social change.
As a practitioner, Dr. Edwards has work experience related to individual and family counseling, troubled youth, sexually exploited women, as well as social service administration. He is involved in an ongoing manner with the Fellowship Human Development Center in Cleveland. That is the setting for much of his applied research.
