Brief Bio:
Professor Robichaud joined the Philosophy Department right at the end of the last century, in 1999. While attending the Graduate School of the City University of New York, she was a Medical Ethics Fellow at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In this capacity, she gained good experience in clinical bioethics. In May of 2014, Professor Robichaud assumed the responsibilities as Chairperson for the Department of Philosophy and Comparative Religion as well as remaining Director of the Bioethics Program. She teaches courses in bioethics, theoretical ethics and environmental ethics and does research in the areas of bioethics, moral psychology and ethics. Most recently, a successful collaboration resulted in the publication of, "Perception of free will: The perspective of incarcerated adolescent and adult offenders." Professor Robichaud is a past President of the Bioethics Network of Ohio (20and has been a community member of the University Hospital Ethics Committee since 2003 and a member of the Patients Without Proxies Sub-Committee since 2005.
