Brief Bio:
Dr. France completed a predoctoral internship in professional psychology at the Hamilton Center, Inc. in Indiana, and his postdoctoral training at the Community Counseling Center in Ashtabula, Ohio. Dr. France is a licensed psychologist with experience in assessing and treating a wide range of mental disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.
Research Interests:
Dr. France is interested in schizophrenia, depression, eating disorders, and other mental disorders. He is also interested in training issues. Specifically, Dr. France is interested in personal and cultural conceptions of mental disorders, primarily schizophrenia and depression, and their treatment. At present, he is currently involved in research related to eating disorders.
Teaching Areas:
Dr. France teaches undergraduate courses in Introduction to Psychology, Childhood Development, Adolescent Psychology, Lifespan Development, Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Clinical Psychology, and Psychology Laboratory. He also teaches graduate courses including Intellectual Assessment and Practical Clinical Psychology.
