| Brief Bio: |
| Gina Weisblat, has been writing grants and doing evaluation work in Minnesota and Ohio for over 15 years. She started as a community organizer working with youth in need, worked as a special assistant to the mayor and was in charge of writing grants for all the Park and Recreation Centers in the City of Cleveland.
She has recently published a workbook on ¿Getting that Grant¿ for educators from LRP publications. She was recently on the National Young Audience team as a consultant that won Project of the year, speaks to various groups on evaluation and grant writing and consults with many local Cleveland groups. Her latest work is focused on publishing a paper on surrogate social capital. She currently serves on the executive committee on the board of the BRICK and has served on the City Year Board as well. Her undergraduate degree is in natural and cognitive sciences from Hampshire College, Masters in Counseling and Human Services from John Carroll University and a20Doctorate in Neighborhood and Housing from Cleveland State University. |

| GW Consulting Specializing in evaluation, research, strategic and organizational planning, program analysis, and grant writing. Some clients include: National and North East Ohio Young Audiences, WECO, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, Shaker Nature Center, Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
Jan. 1994 to Jan. 1996 Director of Development Division of Recreation/City of Cleveland: Develop and implement marketing strategies for divisional programs, collaborations, and special events at 20 facilities throughout the city. Headed all grant writing and fundraising efforts. Organized and oversaw community outreach projects. Awarded funding in excess of $1,000,000 over a two-year period.
Mar. 1992 to Oct. 1993 Youth Coordinator/Assistant to the Mayor City of St. Paul, Minnesota: Appointed by Mayor James Scheibel to advise the mayor and coordinate the city¿s youth outreach efforts, network with community organizations, as well as research and implement options for new youth programs. Created the Mayor¿s Youth Advisory Board, Youth Vote 92-93, Arts Initiative, and Weekend Live. Sept. 1990 to Mar. 1992 Community Organizer Organized youth and adults to address community issues that impacted neighborhood success. Trained and supported the board, worked closely with multiple other agencies and was part of several city-wide community development projects and committees. |
