Brief Bio:
Dr. Haifeng Qian joined the Levin College of Urban Affairs in 2010 as an assistant professor. His areas of expertise are economic development, economic geography, innovation and entrepreneurship, and public policy. As a consultant at The World Bank, Dr. Qian also worked on energy policy in the context of developing countries. His research has been published in The Annals of Regional Science, Economic Development Quarterly, Environment and Planning A, Journal of Economic Geography, The Journal of Technology Transfer, Small Business Economics, and Urban Studies, among others. Dr. Qian is an associate editor of Economic Development Quarterly and Regional Studies, Regional Science.
