Brief Bio:
Prof. Lind trains and supervises clinical students in the Urban Development Law Clinic and manages the Clinic in the manner of a small law firm providing transactional services, research, counsel and representation in selected matters to neighborhood and community-based nonprofit corporations in Cleveland. He also assists with supervision of students in the Law and Public Policy Clinic.  He joined the Clinic in 1995 following eight years of private practice and more than 10 years of directing community-based nonprofit organizations. Areas of legal teaching and practice are nonprofit corporation law and management, housing, community development, business law for small enterprises, and professional responsibility. In addition to supervising students enrolled in the Clinic, Prof. Lind supervises students appointed to funded clinical fellowships for public interest legal practice.  The Urban Development Law Clinic currently plays a leading role in the development of public policy and in innovative nuisance abatement litigation to defend urban neighborhoods and community development corporations from the housing and neighborhood crisis caused by economic decline and the mortgage disaster in Cleveland.
