Brief Bio:
Karen Pace earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University prior to starting work at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation on a post-open heart surgery floor. After one year experience at the Clinic she accepted position in a smaller community hospital and worked on a telemetry unit taking care of patients with various conditions.  Karen found her home in the Emergency Department and still practices in this setting. She attended Kent State University part time and received her MSN in 1993. In 1993 Karen started to supervise at University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center while continuing to practice nursing in Emergency Room. She has had various other nursing experiences throughout her career that include working at Blossom Music Center and NASA Occupational Medical Center in addition to hospital jobs. She started working in the School of Nursing at Cleveland State University in 2002 part time and accepted a full time position in 2005.
