| Brief Bio: |
| Raj Javalgi is Professor of Marketing and International Business at Cleveland State University. Raj is also the Director of Doctor of Business Administration. He has received awards including the Gold Medal Award, the National Merit Scholarship Award, and research and teaching awards. Javalgi teaches courses in the areas of International Marketing, International Business, Marketing Research, Multivariate Statistical Methods, and Marketing Management. He has had broad experience working with international business professionals. He has assisted SMEs in developing international marketing plans, export plans, country analyses, and in cultural issues of doing business in the developed and emerging economies.
Recently, Raj has received two Business International Education grants in a row, totaling $380,000, to build and sustain international business programming.
Javalgi has published over 100 scholarly and professional journal articles, conference papers, book chapters in the field of international business/marketing, with an emphasis on foreign direct investment, international trade, internationalization of services, cross-cultural analysis, global e-commerce, and entrepreneurship. His research has been widely cited by scholars and practitioners alike. His articles, some of which have received best paper of the year awards, have appeared in such journals as Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Research, International Business Review, Thunderbird International business review, International Marketing Review, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Advertising, European Management Journal, and Journal of Advertising Research. Javalgi serves on various editorial boards and is engaged in civic activities. |
