| Brief Bio: |
| I have been interested in reflective surfaces, smooth finishes an spatial considerations of shapes when they are stacked on top of each other and when they are floating on a surface relative to borders or edges of vessels. This interest goes back to the middle fifties when I was working on custom cars and motorcycles on the West Coast. In those days I used to scallop, airbrush and decorate cars and bikes. Eventually, I ended up spray painting cars for a living.
In the early sixties, I returned to Ohio and started pursuing music and soon I was earning my living playing with a Latin American Cuban Band. We wore costumes and we all had to dance as well as play instruments. So for five years, I traveled with this band through out the country.
It was in 1960, that I started taking art courses and became interested in Sculpture and Pottery. I continued pursuing my interests and developed my career as a professional visual artist. |
