Brief Bio:
Santosh K. Misra (DBA, Kent State University) is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Computer and Information Science. He specializes in Information Systems. Before coming to Cleveland State University in 1984, he was an Assistant General Manager in the Telecom Factory organization in India. In this position, he had extensive
managerial responsibility in the manufacture and material management of telecommunication equipment.

Dr. Misra has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, India and an MBA from Kent State University. He is currently active in research and has published more than 30 articles.  He teaches a number of courses including Object Oriented Programming and Development, Enterprise Management using SAP, and Electronic Business.  Dr. Misra is committed to the development of business professionals with a global perspective. He developed Cleveland State's international program in Electronic Business that takes American students to Germany. He has lectured in overseas institutions in India, Germany and France.

Dr. Misra was a Fulbright Scholar at the Copperbelt University in Zambia during 2008-09.  In this capacity, he led the development of a Masters Program in Computer Science at Copperbelt University. This program is the first and as of now (October, 2009) the only masters program in Computer Science in Zambia.  Dr. Misra is currently engaged in a long term project with the Copperbelt Unievrsity to develop that University's academic capacity.
