| Brief Bio: | ||
| Wendy A. Kellogg is a Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Studies. Dr. Kellogg earned her Ph.D. (City and Regional Planning) at Cornell University in 1993. Her major fields of research interest are local government environmental protection, urban and regional sustainability, neighborhood sustainability, and Great Lakes water quality and land use issues. She has published analyses of Great Lakes water quality planning programs and citizen participation in neighborhood-based environmental planning. Her research projects have included an environmental history and inventory of a neighborhood in central Cleveland, Ohio, the role of local decision makers in coastal and watershed protection, and the role of training programs in shaping local decision maker behavior toward coastal management, and collaborative environmental planning processes, including governance systems in the Chagrin River Valley in Northeast Ohio. Dr. Kellogg was a USEPA-funded Fellow at the CSU Program on Risk Analysis in 2000-2001. Dr. Kellogg was a member of the Ohio Lake Erie Commission Blue Ribbon Taskforce on Balanced Growth in the Lake Erie Basin in 2001-2004. She was also a representative for CSU as a founding partner of the Cleveland Water Alliance. She currently serves on the Workforce Committee of the Cleveland Water Equity Partners. Dr. Kellogg teaches courses in urban planning, environmental planning, environmental policy, and urban studies. Dr. Kellogg was Chair of the Department of Urban Studies from 2007-2012, Associate Dean of Research at the Levin College from 2012-2016, and again Chair of the Department of Urban Studies from 2016-2020. | ||

| Served as chair and organized a conference on Water Resilient Cities and climate change held at the Levin College in April 2016. More than 140 attendees included professionals from across the Great Lakes Basin and from different professional fields. Results of the conference are available on the Levin College website under "events." | ||
| Research Interests: | ||
| Most current research interests include collaborative governance and decision making, urban resilience, public planning and management networks, and regional sustainability. I also recently participated on a research project for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources focused on water conservation guidelines for the Great Lakes Compact. I am currently writing an environmental history of the Chagrin River watershed and developing a proposal for a book on sustainability transitions in legacy regions | ||

| Dr. Kellogg has been involved in numerous planning processes in Cleveland and in Northeast Ohio. She has conducted research and led student-based projects in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood for the Cleveland EcoVillage. She has also conducted research in the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood and designed an environmental training program for neighborhood leaders with the Earth Day Coalition. Dr. Kellogg founded the Center for Planning Research and Practice at the Levin College in 2006. | ||

| Dr. Kellogg currently serves on the university Academic Technology Committee, the Levin School Peer Review Committee, and represents the Levin College as a member of Faculty Senate. She also serves on academic program committees in the Levin School. She has served on the University Faculty Affairs Committee, the University Committee on Admissions and Standards, the Assessment Council, and served on the Provost's Task Force on Promotion and Tenure. | ||

| Dr. Kellogg was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Planning Conference (now American Planning Association Ohio Chapter) for four years, ending her term in 2008. She also served on the advisory board for the Green City Blue Lake Institute at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and was a founding board member of the Cleveland Water Alliance. | ||
