Brief Bio:
Abdullah Oguz earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University (Turkey) and received his MBA degree with a concentration in IT Management from Southern New Hampshire University. He defended his Ph.D. dissertation "Workplace Cyberbullying in Global Virtual Teams" successfully in September 2020.

Before starting his Ph.D. program in Information Systems at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, he had worked at the Turkish Customs Administration for 12 years. He was a senior member of the Project Management Office within the Projects and Technical Systems Department which is responsible for planning and managing projects with a view to enhancing the law enforcement capacity of the Turkish Customs Administration, and which managed EU-funded projects having a value of more than $60 million since 2006. Specifically, he was involved in developing and implementing projects with regard to capacity building and improvement, cutting-edge IT systems, and state-of-the-art security equipment in the field of customs law enforcement.

He has been a Project Management Professional (PMPĀ®) credential holder since 2014.
Honors and Awards:
Accepted to the ICIS 2019 Doctoral Consortium which was held in Munich, Germany on December 11-13, 2019.

Best Reviewer Award in AMCIS 2017 held in Boston, the USA in August 2017.

Organizational Leadership Award in GITMA 2018 held in Mexico City, Mexico in July 2018.

Workplace Cyberbullying, Global Virtual Teams, Cybersecurity, Societal Impact of IT Use, Effects of Technology Use on Well-Being, Societal Implications of Big Data Analytics, Entrepreneurship for Social Good, Global Information Technology Management, Global Digital Divide, and E-Government Adoption.
