Brief Bio:
Emily has taught at Cleveland State since 2005, first as a graduate assistant, then as an adjunct instructor, and now, as an Assistant College Lecturer. Prior to teaching, she was a Cleveland Leadership Center Executive Fellow, a program manager for City Year Cleveland, and a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea.

She has been a leader in course materials affordability, most notably as a co-creator and co-editor of the First-Year Writing open access textbook A Guide to Rhetoric, Genre, and Success in First-Year Writing. Her campus service focus has centered on eLearning, Open Educational Resources, First-Year Writing, High Impact Practices teaching, and more.
