Brief Bio:
Dr. Baghersad is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management. He earned his PhD in Business, Business Information Technology, from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. During his PhD program, he served as a graduate assistant for the Interdisciplinary Graduate Education Program in Disaster Resilience (DR-IGEP) at Virginia Tech.

Dr. Baghersad have used both analytical modeling and empirical analysis in his studies. His current research is focused on the supply chain disruptions and concept of disaster resilience in the private and public sectors. Dr. Baghersad's research has been published in a variety of academic journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, and Journal of safety research. He has served as a reviewer for different journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, Computers & Industrial Engineering, the Journal of Cleaner Production, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and the Journal of Supply Chain and Operations Management.
