Brief Bio:
Dr. Rahmati joined the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at Cleveland State University in 2020. His research interests include wireless communications and networking in extreme environments, underwater communications, coordination in multi-robot systems and connected vehicles, and Internet of Things (IoT). He has published numerous peer-reviewed conference and journal papers and has received many prestigious awards including the best demo award at 2019 IEEE International Conference on Sensing, Communication and Networking (SECON), the first prize in 2019 IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) student competition, the best paper award at 2017 IEEE International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Systems (MASS), and the best paper runner-up award at 2015 ACM International Conference on Underwater Networks and Systems (WUWNet).

Dr. Rahmati has conducted technical reviews of numerous journal and conference papers, and served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member of many international conferences.

Dr. Rahmati has taught more than 50 different courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science (CS) disciplines since 2009 at different universities and has recognized as Exemplary Lecturer at Azad University of East Tehran, Iran, in 2010.
