Brief Bio:
Jodi joined Cleveland State University as an Associate Lecturer in the BSHS and MSHS programs after spending 10+ years in patient and family education in the clinical environment. She assumed the role of Program Director shortly after her hire where she became responsible for program oversight, curriculum and program development. During her time in this role, Jodi developed a new track in health promotion and a minor in health coaching to help meet the needs of the changing health care environment and to provide additional pathways for students. She has created unique opportunities for interprofessional education among student groups with her community engagement activities and adaptive lacrosse program.
 
Honors and Awards:
Distinguished Service Award from the University of Toledo, College of Health where she is an alumni.

2015 Olmsted Falls Citizen of the Year for her efforts in community health and wellness
 
Creative and Activities:
Jodi is the creator of an adaptive lacrosse program in Northeast Ohio which serves youth across the county as they learn and participate in the game of lacrosse. Jodi's program began in Olmsted Falls and has since spread to Cleveland State University. This new partnership provides opportunities for significant growth, development of training materials and teaching tools, research on the program's impact to participants and unique opportunities for interprofessional learning across various programs.
