Brief Bio: |
| Dr. Sang's research and teaching interests include parallel and distributed computing, quantum computing, simulation, software engineering, cloud computing, computer networks, operating systems, compiler, and performance measurement. While at Purdue, he received the Halstead Award which is given annually to the student who has made the most significant contributions to software engineering research. He was an invited researcher at the NASA Glenn Research Center from Aug. 2000 to July 2001, as well as a NASA GRC Summer Faculty Fellow in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2017. In addition, he was awarded the Fulbright Senior Research grant in 2012, conducting his research at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. Dr. Sang has received the CSU Faculty Merit Award for Research Excellence in 1997, 1999, 2002, 2006, and 2013. He has served as an editorial board member for three journals and has also served on the program committees of several international conferences. His research has been supported by NSF, NASA, OBOR, and OSC. |
