Brief Bio:
Dr. Myrita Wilhite serves as Chair and Associate Clinical Professor for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She earned a PhD in Urban Education specializing in Learning and Development, at Cleveland State University.  She also earned a Doctor of Audiology degree (Clinical Doctorate) from A.T. Still University.  Dr. Wilhite is passionate about teaching audiology and aural rehabilitation.  She also provides direct clinical service in the on campus Speech and Hearing Clinic.  Dr. Wilhite has been a clinical audiologist for over 30 years.
 
Research Interests:
Research interests include investigating strategies to improve communication, literacy, and academic achievement for children with hearing loss, regardless of communication modality; holistic intervention approaches for people who live with hearing loss, and integrating basic psychological needs of clients in the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology.
