Brief Bio:
Laura Northrop is an associate professor, specializing in literacy education. Prior to joining Cleveland State University, she worked as a middle school teacher for the Chicago Public Schools and the Charlottesville City Schools. She has also worked as a K-12 reading intervention specialist in a variety of after-school and evening tutoring programs.

Dr. Northrop's research interests include educational policy, struggling readers, and the use of technology in middle school literacy instruction.
