Brief Bio:
Dr. Collins joined the full time faculty as an Assistant Professor of Practice in 2021 after serving in a part time role for 6 years.  Previously, she worked as the outpatient rehab supervisor at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center. Dr Collins is a Herdman trained vestibular therapist, an ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist for concussion management and has also completed the Allied Team Training for Parkinson's disease.  Her practice focus included the neurologically complex patient including individuals with concussion, traumatic brain injury, dizziness, Parkinson's disease, stroke and balance disorders. Dr Collins had an affinity for program development and quality improvement and particularly enjoyed mentoring new hires in her leadership role. She was the site coordinator for clinical education and a credentialed clinical instructor.  

Dr Collins supports the neurological aspects of the DPT curriculum and clinical education.

Dr Collins is active in both the local and national level of the American Physical Therapy Association and currently serves as the Vice Chair for the Balance & Falls SIG in the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy.  Her research interest is in perfectionism, imposter syndrome, population health, dizziness, concussion and balance.
