Brief Bio:
Luna Wu joined the faculty of the School of Communication at Cleveland State University in 2021 after receiving her Ph.D. at Texas A&M University where she was trained as a quantitative researcher in the field of health communication. Before her Ph.D., she earned Master's degrees at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Hong Kong Baptist University. Her Bachelor's degree was received at Southwest Jiaotong University, where she focused on film and TV production.

Dr. Wu's research focuses on health and strategic communication. Specifically, she studies how health behaviors and outcomes are connected with their socio-ecological contexts involving interpersonal interactions, media, culture, organizations, and other societal influences.

Being a quantitative researcher, Dr. Wu still embraces both quantitative and qualitative research methods. She extensively uses advanced quantitative methods for social science research, including structural equation modeling, hierarchical linear modeling, and meta-analysis.
