Research Interests:
When I was 14 years old I started my first company, Creative Computer Training.  I would ride my bike to help adults learn how to use computers and early computer software programs such as Word Perfect and Lotus 123.  I believe this experience fostered my love of teaching, adult education, technology, entrepreneurship, and sales.  When I decided to complete my degree as an older adult, I found that higher education did not adequately prepare most of my professors to teach adult learners effectively. Since then, I have been interested in effective teaching, teacher preparedness, the quality of teaching and learning, classroom management, adult learning, learning communities and assessment.

I am also interested in learning and development program management and the importance of the Planning Table, trust as it relates to engagement, the development of learning communities and team building, social learning with social media and marketing.   Other areas of interest are Civics, American History, the Founding Fathers, the Revolutionary War, the US Constitution, Libertarianism, and the protection of liberty in America.
