Brief Bio:
I was born and raised in Brazil and I received my PhD from the University of Sao Paulo. I am a Lecturer Associate Faculty for the Chemistry Department since 2014.  In between my responsibilities, I share the teaching of the Organic Chemistry lectures and I am responsible for all of the sections of the Organic Chemistry laboratory.

I worked for several years as researcher in University and National Laboratory environments but I have always being passionated about teaching. For over 10 years now, I have been working as a Chemistry teacher. Before teaching at CSU, I taught entry level and general chemistry courses at City University of New York (CUNY) and at Roosevelt University in Chicago. I love my job and I love to interact with students.

I know many students worry about succeeding in an Organic Chemistry Course and life obligations and/or situations often add to overall OChem anxiety. Here are some things you may want to know:

I am a first generation college graduate in my family;
I am an immigrant to the USA, and I had most of my education / trainning overseas; English is my second language.
I was a work student through my undergraduate years.
I still balance childcare with work.
