Brief Bio:
Dr. Jia joined the accounting department at the Monte Ahuja College of Business as an assistant professor in 2017. She holds a bachelor degree in economics and finance from the University of Hong Kong (graduated with first-class honor), and a Ph.D. in accounting from Emory University.

Dr. Jia is interested in financial archival research on accounting disclosures and regulations. Her primary research interest is in corporate misconduct, enforcement, and corporate compliance. She is also interested in international accounting that exploits cross-country variations in institutional and cultural factors to study how home countries affect firms' operating and accounting decisions.
