| Brief Bio: | ||
| Dr. Kelly Liao is an Associate Professor in the doctoral specialization in Counseling Psychology. She received her Ph.D. from Iowa State University after completing her internship at the University of Missouri-Columbia University Counseling Center. Prior to joining the faculty at Cleveland State University, she was a research scientist at the Culture and Health Research Center at the University of Houston. She was also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Family Therapy at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. | ||

| Dr. Liao has research interests in the areas of coping with minority-related stress (e.g., acculturative stress, discrimination) among minority individuals (e.g., African American, Asian American), Asian/Asian American mental health (e.g., body image issues, discrimination, minority status stress), positive psychology (e.g., self-compassion, gratitude), and psychosocial intervention among Chinese cancer breast survivors. | ||
