Brief Bio:
As an environmental geographer, I am interested in applying geospatial theories and methods to disentangle the complex dynamics between human social systems and natural components. I received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Geography at Michigan State and postdoctoral training in the School of Public Health at Boston University. My expertise in GIS, remote sensing, and data science has facilitated my research at various spatiotemporal scales. My previous research focused on understanding the influences of hydropower dams on the local ecosystem in the Mekong River Basin, Southeast Asia. The overarching theme of my current work is to investigate how urban green space plays a role in affecting the urban environment and human health.

My long-term research goal is to make a creative contribution to the scientific body of urban green space and health studies.
