As an advisor, serve as a reliable resource for the student officers, providing a voice of continuity and experience. Actively mentor the student officers, developing them into strong leaders. Regularly provide encouragement, feedback and constructive criticism, but they never condescend or demotivate the students. Occasionally, give a push to get things on track, but never force the students to take the chapter in the advisor’s preferred direction. Also help keep the chapter within the requirements of the association and the university.
