Working with Dr. Charles Carlin from the University of Akron to develop a proposal for AU and CSU to collaboratively establish a certification program for Assistive Technology. Implementing the research needed to create the curriculum that will reflect the requirements needed to acquire the national, Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) certification. This would be offered as an option for students in the MOT, PT, and SLP programs at CSU as well as, professions in the community who seek this certification. The research requirements to develop the proposed curriculum is approximately 20 hours so far. We met at for 2 hours at the University of Akron on February 29, 2016.
