This year, I co-taught four (double-block) lessons with my interns in the field (in either practicum or student teaching): 1) a lesson on building graphs and tables in a 5th grade Math class; 2) a lesson on ancient Roman civilizations in an 8th grade Social Studies class; 3) a lesson on writing lead paragraphs with a 6th grade English Language Arts class; and 4) a lesson on writing poetry (from hip-hop, to blackout poems, to free verse – which ended in a poetry slam) in a 7th grade English Language Arts class.
