Educational Objectives: Following this activity, participants should be able to: 1. To be able to identify the link between a change in mental status in response to common medical conditions and its relationship to possible underlying dementia. 2. To be able to identify various types of dementia and describe appropriate screening measures as well as when to refer for a more extensive evaluation. 3.To be able to understand how cognitive decline plays a role in the emergence of psychiatric symptoms and what kind of treatments are available for these condition.
