As a fellow at the United States Military Academy, I not only taught two courses and worked on my own research, but also advised the Department of History on how to include more concepts of ethnicity, immigration, and race into their core curriculum through presentations, lectures, and completing two online modules to be used in the Introduction to U.S. History Course: The West Point Guide to Immigrant Service in the Military and the West Point Guide to Japanese American Internment. My time at West Point meets the requirements for a scholarly activity that also qualifies as a year of service toward tenure (please see attached letter from Vice Provost William Morgan).
