I helped launch the academic interest group in Fall 2017 at the annual conference of the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). I helped the group putting up a panel at the International Communication Association in Prague and at the annual conference International Association of Mass Communication Research (IAMCR) in Eugene (OR) in the summer of 2018.
