Provided professional service to former Federal Communications Commission (FCC) member Gloria Tristani, the Office of Communication leadership of the United Church of Christ, and the Institute for Public Representation at Georgetown University Law Center. Collectively, they challenged the licenses of television stations that were not in compliance with the Children’s Television Act of 1990 requirement that educational/ informational children’s programming be aired. I provided expert, research-grounded testimony before the FCC in Washington D.C., which is currently reviewing several of these petitions.
