In fall 2021, the Chair of the peer review committee (Dr. Nancy Nenno), who teaches at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, invited me to serve as an external reviewer to assess the scholarly works of Dr. Ghazi Abuhakemah, who submitted his dossier for promotion to the rank of professor. Dr. Abuhakemah’s area of specialization is Arabic language, pedagogy, and linguistics.
