a. Organizing and hosting bi-weekly SPS event/Physics Colloquia. Reserving the room, advertising events on and off campus via web/email/print adds, setting up the events, organizing pizza and supplies, taking attendance record, welcoming/hosting speakers. b. Recruiting physics majors and minors via various SPS public events and outreach. c. Supervising the club’s finances. Making sure that events money are requested from SGA in orderly fashion and that students are reimbursed promptly d. Helping SPS officers to apply for national grants for outreach, research, conference travel. e. Advising SPS officers on the SPS activities for each semester. Helping to organize those. f. Overseeing organization of annual Physics Olympics (October) and Physics Jeopardy (April), Catapult Contest (April-May) g. Advising students on the availability of the various national scholarships and internships and research opportunities. h. Forwarding to students information about available positions in physics. i. Participating in the fundraising for the SPS and SPS activities
