Metz Site Analyses of Feature 8 – Burial 1 biochemistry. Analyses conducted by Beta-Analytic Lab in Florida. The sample consisted of an 18 gram midshaft segment of human femur cortical bone. The results yielded a radiocarbon date of 370 B.C.+ 40 yrs. The stable carbon isotope ratio C15/14 indicated a preagricultural (pre C4 pathway) diet, likewise the stable nitrogen isotope ratio data indicates some use of, but little overall reliance on, freshwater fish and mollusks. Total cost of the analysis was $ 750.
