I served as a manuscript screener (for final judge Dan Chaon) for the prestigious 2012 AWP Grace Paley Prize in Short Fiction; I read around 150 short story manuscripts (approx 200-300 pages apiece) & then selected the best 3 to forward on to the final judge.
