I was appointed to serve on this two-year task force to examine the issue of informed consent in physical therapy. This task force’s charge was to “research current regulatory requirements; review the laws and rules of jurisdictions; and review literature of other professions for best practices regarding informed consent.” The work involved two in-person meetings in Alexandria, as well as regular virtual meetings and individual work in between. Through this work, we developed resources for FSBPT members related to informed consent (e.g. "Guide to Informed Consent," resource list, educational module with case scenarios)
