Biography
Anita R. Gooding is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Cleveland State University. She received her undergraduate degree in Women, Gender and Sexuality from Trinity College, a Master in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and PhD in Social Work and Social Research from Portland State University. Her practice experience includes individual therapy, primary care social work, HIV/AIDS treatment education, community organizing, and service as a BSW Practicum Director. As a scholar, she aims to challenge dominant perspectives and expand possibilities for belonging. She has written on race, identity, queer(ed) space and white supremacy and is currently exploring AI’s role in practicum education.
