Sydney Waltz

Sydney is a writer and director who splits her time between her native Ohio and New York City. Her films have screened at festivals across the United States and Canada. Through her work, she explores family dynamics and the delicate relationship between mother and child, often blending documentary and narrative elements to uncover stories that resonate with audiences. Inspired by midwest landscapes, nostalgia, and history, Sydney strives to bring authenticity and care to the stories she tells. When she is not making films, she teaches college-level film courses in Ohio and along the East Coast.
