Personal profile

Research interests

My research work focusses on computational atmospheric physics, and the role of clouds and boundary layers in atmospheric processes, including for purposes of climate, weather, and air quality. Much of the work that I am doing involves Large Eddy Simulations (LES), which are fine-scaled computer simulations with which we can resolve the turbulence in the atmosphere. I am part of the development team of the MicroHH LES code (https://github.com/microhh/microhh), together with researchers at the University of Wageningen in the Netherlands.

Teaching interests

I teach a variety of Physics courses, including Environmental Physics, Mechanics and Vibrations, Thermal Physics, and the Introductory Physics courses.
