Biography
Dr. Umut Celiker is an Associate Professor of Finance in the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University. He earned his PhD in Finance from Virginia Tech. He teaches Introduction to Finance and Advanced Investments and serves as faculty advisor to the Student Managed Investment Fund.
Prior to joining Cleveland State University, Dr. Celiker taught at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA and at Özyeğin University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Dr. Celiker’s research focuses on investments, with emphasis on institutional investors and market efficiency. His work has been published in various journals including Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking & Finance, and Financial Analysts Journal.
