American History and Diversity Studies Fellow

For the 2017-2018 academic year, I am serving as the American History and Diversity Studies Fellow at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. I was invited to apply and was chosen for a fellowship where I write "The West Point Guide to Immigration and Ethnicity," which will be the official publication of the Army on the history of Japanese American internment during WWII. I have also been brought in as a consultant to assist the West Point Department of History with adding more diversity to the standard history curriculum. This fellowship should count as both "service" and "research" since it straddles both.
