Description

  • The Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program is a state-funded program intended to increase numbers of students graduating inScience, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM).
  • Scholars pursue degrees in biology, chemistry, engineering, math, nursing, physics, or health sciences
  • Annual scholarship awards range from $1,500 to $7,500 per year
  • Support and enrichment opportunities are provided
  • Cohort advisors
  • Engagement offerings may include advising, tutoring, peer mentoring, support for undergraduate research, and exposure to community service opportunities
  • Social activities also strengthen the cohort connection

We presently fund 237 scholars.  The grant is a four year grant for which the state ODHE provides several annual Memoranda of Understanding.  For the award period, I have entered just this year.
