Grant Details
Description
I have worked closely with Dr. Schearer (and one of his graduate students) on the set-up of equipment and the design and implementation of a study on the coordination of oculomotor (eye) and manual (hand) control in young, healthy individuals. Such research provides a basis for future studies on the use of eye and head movements in robotic-arm control, first, in healthy individuals and then, second, in those with high cervical spinal cord injuries. The goal of the current grant application is to support those future goals. The proposal was submitted on 3/16/20 and funded on 6/2/20. It was originally a two-year grant but was extended by one year until Summer 2023.
