Description
The project uses two components, didactic sessions and practical experience, to prepare nursing and social work students to care for the Medicaid population.
There are 5 Saturday sessions: 1/18, 2/1, 3.8, 4/5, and 5/3 that cover various topics related to the Medicaid population. Students then spend their practicum program, guided by mentors practicing at the clinical sites, focused on caring for the needs of Medicaid clients.
Planning occurs year round, but the bulk of activity falls in the spring semester.
