Project: Research

Grant Details

Description

From the early Spring 2021 until the end of Summer 2021 we held 13 meetings to discuss the development of an NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) proposal that would provide interdisciplinary training for students interested in rehabilitation research and its application.  It was during those meetings that the main research topics and themes of the grant were articulated and written-up.  It was important that there was buy-in from all faculty participants. Discussions about the proposal brought together faculty from multiple departments at CSU.  The proposal was submitted on September 13, 2021.  In the Spring 2022, the group met with NSF program directors and we learned that the grant was approved by the NSF and it was funded on June 24, 2023.  My role in the proposed research is described on pages 13-14 of the attached proposed project description.
