Description
During Summer 2022, Sara Aly and Michael Rosario were students involved in a summer National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates (NSF REU) program at CSU. They worked on a project based on my idea to develop a low-cost, portable computer-vision system for movement-control assessment. Dr. Hongkai Yu (Computer Science, CSU) and I were the project mentors. In a competition at the November 2022 meeting of the International Forum on Research Excellence (IFoRE), a presentation based on this research came in first (1st) place in the undergraduate Math and Computer Science category (see below for presentation details).
Note that under "Collaborators" above I have not listed other Faculty Mentors involved in Summer 2022 student mentoring activitiies.
