Structure of nascent peptides and kinetic control of co-translational folding on the ribosome

The goal of this proposal is to obtain detailed insights into the effects of synonymous codon substitutions and kinetics of protein translation on co-translational protein folding using fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) approach as well as solid state NMR.
