Description
The Cleveland Teaching Collaborative (CTC) seeks funding to support two thematic podcast miniseries. One podcast miniseries will feature educators in Northeast Ohio who are teaching young people about climate change, climate justice, and sustainability and one miniseries will focus on Northeast Ohio educators who are dedicated to building young people’s capacity for democratic discourse, peacemaking, and conflict resolution as part of the learning that happens in school. Each thematic series will include 2-3 podcast episodes that feature Northeast Ohio instructors (PK-12 and higher education) who are actively teaching about climate change and sustainability or peaceful coexistence. This project both builds on and extends the CTC’s collection of educator-authored case studies, including the cohort of case studies supported by the Cyrus Eaton Foundation that focused on teaching climate change and climate justice. Given the success of a themed cohort, the CTC aims to recruit and support two cohorts focused on two of Cyrus Eaton’s funding themes.
